i recently bought a flash drive from  http://www.makeamixa.com/
its only a 1gb but if its possible to save id really love too. 

it shows up as an  UNformat-able (in windows 7)
8 meg "mass storage device"

detail i got off the chip is:
chipsbank  cbm2092   (b95599-23)
other chip: hvpd6f3  (0819)

CBM2092_UMPTool_V2.0.01_090807  gives  "F:bad .... write table config error"

...ive tried alot of differnt options from the site, and i have a second drive that UPMtool shows "TOSHIBA_TC58NVG3D1D"
but still no good.  am i to assume at this point its garbage or is there hope?   ???

TC58NVG3D1D - this chip to 1 GB. It determines the utility of ID. (Labeling - hvpd6f3 (0819) - Unrecognized)

To work correctly, utilities need a Win XP!
