i have a sony flash memory 4G.
when i plug flash in PC , windows shown the msg for install driver!
what's the problem???????
please help
90% of that is a problem with your OS.
Try on another PC.
But i have this problem in any PC.
In this case, assuming malfunction of the controller firmware.
must:
1) know the name of the controller and pick up a utility for flashing
2) translate the controller in the test mode (http://translate.google.ru/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=ru&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=ru&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.flashboot.ru%2Findex.php%3Fname%3DNews%26op%3Darticle%26sid%3D24)
3) to flash controller found utility............
ps: uncross the pins before flashing!

VID & PID indirect pointers to the controller on them can only guess!
Without opening the flash can not continue!
