Hello,

I have 2 keys with the following characteristics:
- VID/PID 090C/3000
- Capacity 4G
- Flash is Hynix H27UCG8U5ATR (according to SMI mass production tool).
The chipset seems to be a SMI3255AA.

The problem is that SMI utility shows a 0MB capacity. I have first tried HP format utility, did not work.

Inside SMI utility , when getting the key details, it shows 0 LBA.
I tried to flash it and modify the CID, but it ends up with "Bad block over setting(11)" error.
Of course, I have tried to modify the number of bad blocks under capacity in the capacity tab settings. Still no luck.

If I uncheck "pretest", then it failed with "Write CID fail(03)".

I am using XP SP3 with SMI factory driver installed, from SMI tool v 2.0.31 v13 (with files from v2.02.04). I have also tried with SMI_I1126_v2.02.04 - same result.

Would you mind helping me ?
Thanks a lot !

Hi.
Unfortunately no one of the participants of the forum could not defeat this error (Write CID fail(03)). All users can't achive a positive result.
Only advice to put the driver, to use XP sp2, and customize according to instructions. I think it's a defect of the controller. May help to warm up the board/ solder the controller & nand chips.
